The work I do is all about awakening you to your inner superhero. Or in other words, maximizing your potential so that your super powers can manifest.
That’s why I get so excited about raw and superfood nutrition, as they help to do just that. By consuming foods of the highest nutritional value, you get to maximize your nutritional intake with minimal effort. This frees up your energy to focus on other things, as it’s not all being used up by the digestive system.
People often ask me what would be a good way to start exploring the raw food and superfoods.
My answer is usually: Start making Super Smoothies!
It really can be that simple. By starting your day with one of these, you begin to discover what really nourishes your body. This can lead to a deeper understanding of your relationship with your body, and after some time you’ll begin to intuitively know what your body really needs to thrive.
Here’s a recipe to get you started. This is one of my current favourites. It’s Spring time here in South Africa, and I’ve been enjoying this tropical superfood smoothie for breakfast.
Cacao Papaya Super Smoothie:
1 banana
½ papaya
a handful of organic dates
1 teaspoon cinnamon
a pinch of Himalayan crystal salt
a handful of cashews or almonds or 1 tablespoon tahini
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder (2 tablespoons if you want it extra chocolatey!)
500 ml water (I use fresh water that I collect from Newlands Spring)
optional extras:
1 tablespoon hemp powder
1 tablespoon baobab powder
1 tablespoon maca powder
1 tablespoon lucuma powder
1 tablespoon mesquite powder
Blend all of these ingredients together and ENJOY!
