One of the highlights for me during our time in Lisbon was exploring Almada.
Almada is a city across the river from Lisbon, on the south bank of the Tagus. The city is well known for the Cristo Rei (Christ the King) statue overlooking Lisbon. There are also loads of interesting restaurants and cafes in the area.
It’s a city with a lot of local flavour. The people are friendly and laid back, and there always seems to be some kind of celebration going on.
Alison and I are both obsessed with abandoned spaces, and Almada happens to have some incredible hidden gems.
While walking around one afternoon, we discovered an area along the river filled with abandoned buildings covered in street art. So of course I had to shoot a music video there.
It was a lot of fun to explore and film in these spaces, and here is the result. This is the opening track from my latest album future noir.
Thanks to Alison for the awesome cinematography. More music is on the way soon.
